Its very clean the staff are very nice .. the location is exceptional very quiet being next to the main road.

Nice and caring staff, peaceful and quiet at this time of year, although I had rooms right by the pool. Recommended place to stay at least for me. 🙂

The hotel was relatively easy to get to and in a fairly central part of Platanias, within walking distance of many restaurants, shops, spas, a Lidl, and so on. Unfortunately, to see anything of real Crete or any interesting historical landmarks (like the Minoan ruins and tombs of Knossos, Chania, Maleme, etc.) you will have to travel quite far, as Platanias itself is mostly a tourist resort town. Fortunately, there are fairly decent bus services around the island and you can always go on a hike out into the beautiful countryside. As for our actual room in the hotel, it was passable. It looked okay and there was plenty of space for two people, especially for a basement, but sadly that is pretty much it for the positives. We were also able to leave our luggage for a few hours after check-out on our last day, which was nice. What wasn't nice was that the entire area had been left unlocked with no one to check who walks in, with seemingly no CCTV either.
